Our vision of success is that every child, develops the confidence he or she needs to forward the betterment of their life especially while coping with difficult relationships and circumstances. We strive to give every child we meet a positive experience when utilizing our supervision services.
No parent wants to find themselves in a situation that calls for a supervised visitation arrangement; however, when that occurs, Village Family Services provides children with conflict-free access to both of their parents.
What We Do
We make it a priority to supply a safe location for children to have contact
with parents and other relatives they might not otherwise be able to maintain
a relationship with due to custody litigation or other difficult family
transitions. Our goal in providing these services is to eliminate as much of the
emotional hardship that children frequently have to endure as a result of
custody litigation as possible, while helping them maintain safe contact with
their parents, siblings and other significant relatives.
Families and Children First
Supervised Visitation allows the other parent to visit with his or her children, but requires another adult to supervise all visits. Village Family Services is professional agency that will provide the service for a fee.
When is supervised parenting time required?
Judges will order supervised visitation/parenting time when they believe it is in the best interests of the children involved.
It is often mandated in situations where a parent's past behavior puts a child's safety into question.
Circumstances for which supervision might be ordered include past allegations of violence or abuse, either toward the other parent or child, substance abuse, or neglect.
While it may place certain restrictions on how a parent and child can spend their time together, supervised parenting time still allows parents to foster relationships with their children.
